How long have you been with Behavior Interventions in West Deptford, NJ?

I joined Behavior Interventions in 2016 and previously served as an RBT and then as a BCBA in both New Jersey and Delaware. I also worked as an Assistant Supervisor before transitioning into my current role as Clinical Program Director for the West Deptford Treatment Center (formerly Woodbury) in 2022.

What initially drew you to Behavior Interventions and what keeps you feeling excited about the company and your position?

I was originally drawn to Behavior Interventions by the positive recommendations of former colleagues. Knowing the company was BCBA-owned and operated was a significant factor in my decision to join ten years ago, and from the start, the team felt like a close-knit family.

It has been an amazing journey to grow with the organization and observe the lasting positive impact our dedicated employees make daily. I remain passionate about my career here because of our continued commitment to staff development and our unwavering focus on providing the best possible services to our clients. 

Seeing the dedication of my team and the meaningful changes they create for those we serve is incredibly rewarding. I am truly thankful to be in a position where I can support others and help them grow every day.

What are the specific autism support services offered at the West Deptford, NJ treatment center?

Our treatment center currently offers BCBA and technician services in the home, community, center-based and school settings. Specifically for the center, we have Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) for children ages 2-6 and Center Based Social Instruction for school aged children. Both of these programs provide 1:1 services with a Behavior Technician and BCBA where we individualize their treatment needs and provide socialization opportunities. Additionally, we are now offering our Stabilization Program for children who may be awaiting an out of district placement or who are on homebound instruction due to severe interfering behaviors. 

In addition to client-based services, we offer a 4-week RBT Bootcamp training at our treatment center to provide employees with hands-on experience on the journey to becoming an RBT. During this time they are provided with training and support to help them learn integral skills in the role as an RBT. We also have an internship program and serve as a practicum site for individuals pursuing their BCBA. Within these programs, individuals are provided with clinical training, supervision, and group study options to develop skills necessary to be successful as a BCBA.

Do you have any exciting programs or updates to share about your West Deptford, NJ center?

We have seen exciting growth since moving into our new, larger center this past summer. Our EIBI and CBSI programs have expanded exponentially, and our new stabilization program that was developed this year poses to serve as an integral resource for many children.

Looking ahead, we are currently pursuing opportunities to support local school districts with their ABA needs. We are also preparing to host our CBSI Summer Camp at our new location this year.

It has been wonderful to see the center thrive, and we look forward to these upcoming developments.
