In this featured Q&A, we highlight Deanna McClain, Clinical Program Director in Horsham, PA, as she shares insight into our services, specialized programs, and what makes Behavior Interventions a trusted partner for families throughout the local community.
How long have you been with Behavior Interventions in Horsham, PA
I started at Behavior Interventions in 2010. I worked as a part-time technician, which is where I discovered my passion for the field of ABA and the profound impact our work has on clients. This inspired me to go back to school to earn my BCBA certification. After a few years as a BCBA, and then a BCBA supervisor, I became a Program Director in 2022 when we opened our first treatment center.
What initially drew you to Behavior Interventions and what keeps you feeling excited about the company and your position?
I was initially drawn to Behavior Interventions because I have an education background and thought that might be a good fit for the job. I’ve never worked for another ABA company and have been at BII ever since. Over the years, I’ve heard firsthand what makes our company special from employees who have joined us from other companies or even returned after leaving.
What keeps me excited is knowing that Behavior Interventions truly focuses on the client, operates ethically, and is opened and run by BCBAs who deeply care about the field. We are constantly striving to keep ahead of the field and provide the best services possible.
In my position, I particularly love the opportunities I have to teach. I enjoy working with our technicians in the RBT bootcamp program, mentoring interns as they study to become BCBAs, and supporting our current BCBAs as they help clients in the field.
